Introducing Spring

"Now that the winter's gone, the earth hath lost
Her snow-white robes, and now no more the frost
Candies the grass, or casts an icy cream
Upon the silver lake or crystal stream;
But the warm sun thaws the benumbed earth,
And makes it tender; gives a sacred birth
To the dead swallow; wakes in hollow tree
The drowsy cuckoo and the humble-bee.
Now do a choir of chirping minstrels bring
In triumph to the world the youthful spring."

Thomas Carew, The Spring, 1630

Spring
Spring, in the northern hemisphere, starts in March and continues through April and May.  It is seen as a time of growth, renewal and new life.  In the Christian calendar Easter is the prominent festival.  Easter eggs, chicks and lambs are widely used as symbols through this season.  The first day of Spring is officially March 20th.

Resources
You can download a calendar to use in what ever way you wish.  You might want to doodle a square every day or write a note or a word - whatever suits you.  Or you could join in with Kate Crane's calendar challenge where you make a journal page for the month.

Here are pdf downloads of Quotes and Verses for the next three months.

I have set up a Spring related board on Pinterest.

Challenges or the lack of them
Unlike my previous challenge blogs there won't be challenges every day which formed a journal.  Instead there will be variety of posts, some of which will be tutorials and some will be for inspiration.  Some will be standalone projects and some could be used as inspiration for a journal page or scrapbook layout.  I think it is probably going to be best to work on separate pieces of paper if you are going to do extra journal pages and bind them together at the end.

It's entirely up to you how you use the blog posts.  I will be showing what I do on my blog Newly Creative.

If you decide to use the quote above or information on Spring to make a page or a layout please add a link below.

Looking forward to our time together
